Ironbark is clearly one of the standout timbers available to be used as flooring. It is as hard as it's name implies, as in, it's made of iron.
It's quite hard to sand, but with perserverance, it can be turned into one of the most outstanding features in a home.
The first two photo's on the right show how it can look with a gloss type finish, which is what is used as the two base coats for this particular floor, which was eventually finished in satin.
