Here's something a little different from the norm. Stencils.

What we've done here is sanded the floor as per usual and then added a Stencil to it during the finishing process, often as a border, or as both a border and a center piece.

These Stencils are only limited by your imagination, pretty much anything you can come up with we should be able to get it down on your floor. For instance, if you think the Carlton Football Clubs big CFC insignia would look really cool on your kitchen floor, then, yep, we could do it.

Although, most folks lean towards the floral side of things, however, feel free to let your imagination run wild. It's all do-able.

How it's done, is we finish the sanding and apply the first coat of polyurethane, this first coat ensures that the Stencil doesn't bleed into the timber, then we cut it back so that it's all smooth and the Stenciling is done with Acrylic paint. Although it all sounds rather straight forward it can be a little finicky, particularly when we start using three or more colours in the pattern.

Most Stencil patterns can be bought from a craft type store, but if you have a certain special design you'd like done, we are able to cut one out from X-Ray film.

So if your looking for something individual give Stencils some sort of consideration.
